Alexander Garcia Jr. is a senior director of Institutional Property Advisors (IPA), specializing in the disposition and acquisition of institutional multifamily properties in the dynamic Inland Empire and Eastern San Gabriel Valley markets. He joined Institutional Property Advisors/Marcus & Millichap in 1989 and has received numerous sales recognition awards from the firm, consistently ranking amongst the top producers.  Mr. Garcia has closed in excess of 450 transactions generating over $2.5 billion in real estate sales during his career, representing institutional and private capital clients. He partners with fellow IPA advisor, Chris Zorbas, with the team market area including Orange County and San Diego County, in addition to the Inland Empire and Eastern San Gabriel Valley.

Mr. Garcia is a graduate of California State Polytechnic University, Pomona with a Bachelor of Science in communications.

Christopher J. Zorbas

Christopher J. Zorbas is a senior director of Institutional Property Advisors (IPA), specializing in multifamily properties located throughout the dynamic San Diego County marketplace, serving both institutional and major private clients.  Mr. Zorbas joined Institutional Property Advisors/Marcus & Millichap in 2000 and during his career has closed more than $2 billion in real estate transactions. By combining unparalleled market experience, comprehensive and up-to-the minute knowledge of the capital markets, and innovative and aggressive marketing strategies, Mr. Zorbas has redefined commercial real estate investment brokerage and consistently achieves superior results for clients.

Tyler J. Martin

Tyler Martin is a director of Institutional Property Advisors (IPA), specializing in the disposition and acquisition of institutional multifamily properties in the Los Angeles and Orange County markets. Mr. Martin has been a multifamily investment specialist since 2007 and he joined Institutional Property Advisors in 2017. Mr. Martin has closed in excess of 5,000 units generating over $700 million in real estate sales working on behalf of notable institutions such as BlackRock, AIMCO, BRE Properties, Bank of America, and JP Morgan. He partners with fellow IPA advisors, Chris Zorbas and Alexander Garcia, with the team market area including Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego Counties, in addition to the Inland Empire and Eastern San Gabriel Valley. Mr. Martin has a diverse base of knowledge and expertise in the apartment industry including both market rate and affordable housing. Years of building up partnerships with on the West Coast enables him to have a strong pulse on the marketplace and gain access to more investment opportunities.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Martin was an managing director at ARA, A Newmark Company. He joined ARA Pacific in 2010 after working at CB Richard Ellis in Los Angeles as a member of a team solely concentrated on institutional apartment transactions.

Tyler is a graduate of the University of the Pacific where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree.

David Sperling

David Sperling is a director of Institutional Property Advisors (IPA).  Mr. Sperling joined Institutional Property Advisors/Marcus & Millichap in 2003, and since that time has focused on the analysis, research and marketing of mid-sized and large multifamily communities across Southern California.  Over the course of his almost 12 years with the firm, Mr. Sperling has facilitated and overseen the closing of more than 200 transactions valued in excess of $1.5 billion.  Mr. Sperling graduated from The University of Arizona where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Regional Development.

Christopher L. White is a senior financial analyst for Institutional Property Advisors.  Mr. White joined Marcus & Millichap in early 2012 and has been an instrumental part of the Inland Empire and Eastern San Gabriel Valley team. As part of his responsibilities, he oversees all aspects of underwriting, market research, proposals, and marketing presentations for the team’s assignments of large multifamily communities throughout the Inland Empire and Eastern San Gabriel Valley markets. He is an experienced investment real estate professional with a background in property operations, asset management, financial analysis, underwriting, acquisitions, and competitive market studies. Mr. White has worked extensively with market rate, affordable, seniors housing, distressed, and value-add assets.  He is a graduate of Occidental College and holds a Master in Business Administration from The University of Southern California.

Evan Anderson

Evan Anderson is responsible for collecting and analyzing pertinent information used in the creation of marketing materials. Evan graduated from Pepperdine University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics.

RJ Walz is a research analyst for Institutional Property Advisors and joined the group in August 2015. He is responsible for deal specific market research and analysis. He is also an integral part of proposals and marketing presentations for the team’s assignments of institutional sized multifamily properties throughout Southern California. Mr. Walz graduated from Stanford University with a bachelor’s degree in economics and earned a master’s degree in economics from Columbia University.
