Steve Gebing is a senior managing director of Institutional Property Advisors overseeing IPA’s Arizona operations, having completed more than $2 billion of transactions at IPA/Marcus & Millichap. Mr. Gebing and his business partner, Cliff David, a Marcus & Millichap vice president investments, form one of the strongest investment sales teams in Arizona. Mr. Gebing will focus on serving the needs of institutional and major private clients through the IPA division, while Mr. David will focus on the private client segment of the market.

Mr. Gebing joined Marcus & Millichap in 2006 as an associate in the firm’s Phoenix office, rising to vice president investments in July 2012. He is also a director of the firm’s National Multi Housing Group. He has earned four National Achievement Awards and four Sales Recognition Awards. Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, Mr. Gebing spent nearly seven years working for IBM, where he served as a worldwide sales and marketing manager for IBM’s emerging storage virtualization software with responsibility for identifying new market opportunities, coordinating go-to-market activities, as well as developing, communicating, and strengthening the portfolio's value proposition.

Mr. Gebing graduated Summa Cum Laude from The University of Arizona with a B.S.B.A. in Management Information Systems and holds a M.S. degree in Science and Technology Commercialization from The University of Texas at Austin, where he was awarded the George Kozmetsky Award for Academic Excellence.

Cliff David is senior managing director at Marcus & Millichap and partners with Steve Gebing of Institutional Property Advisors (IPA), a division of Marcus & Millichap. Mr. David’s focus is on serving the needs of private market clients, while Mr. Gebing focuses on institutional and major private market investors. He has completed over $800 million of transactions at IPA/Marcus & Millichap.

Mr. David joined Marcus & Millichap in 2002 as an associate in the firm’s Phoenix office, rising to vice president investments in October 2008. He is also a director of the firm’s National Multi Housing Group. Mr. David has earned three National Achievement Awards and three Sales Recognition Awards. Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, Mr. David worked for Prudential Securities where he focused on equity investments and long-term estate planning practices for the private client portfolio.

Mr. David graduated from The University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Finance.
