Mark Myers is an Executive Managing Director of Institutional Property Advisors’ (IPA) Seniors Housing Group and Marcus & Millichap’s National Seniors Housing Group. Mr. Myers has more than 20 years of real estate experience specializing in seniors housing and long-term care facility investment sales. Mr. Myers and his team have closed over $4.4 billion in seniors housing transactions across 41 states, representing private investors, institutional clients and seniors housing operators in the disposition of their seniors housing facilities and portfolios nationwide.

Mr. Myers’ team has grown exponentially and their output has more than doubled every year for the last three years.  In 2016, Mr. Myers and his team closed on the sale of the largest privately-owned nursing home portfolio nationwide since 2012 (over $500 million), the second largest stand-alone facility transaction in history at $110 million, and closed over $1 billion in overall sales of seniors housing and long-term care assets.

Since joining the firm, he has consistently been one of its top brokers, receiving many prestigious awards, including top ten agent of the year on four occasions. He was also inducted into the Midwest Real Estate Hall of Fame in 2012.

Mr. Myers received a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Wheaton College and an MBA from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Business.

Joshua Jandris

Joshua Jandris is a Senior Managing Director of Institutional Property Advisors’ (IPA) Seniors Housing Group and Marcus & Millichap’s National Seniors Housing Group.  Mr. Jandris has 11 years of real estate experience specializing in seniors housing and long-term care facility investment sales. Since 2010, he and his team have closed over $3 billion in seniors housing transactions across 32 states, representing private investors, institutional clients, and seniors housing operators in the disposition of seniors housing facilities and portfolios. Mr. Jandris is an industry leader in county-owned nursing home transactions, with a market share over 95 percent. In 2016, Mr. Jandris and his team closed on the sale of the largest privately owned nursing home portfolio nationwide since 2012 (sale price over $500 million), the largest stand-alone skilled nursing facility transaction in history at $110 million, and closed over $1 billion in overall sales of seniors housing and long-term care assets. His team has grown exponentially and their output has more than doubled every year for the last three years.

Since joining the firm in 2006, Mr. Jandris has earned five Sales Recognition Awards, five National Achievement Awards, three Chairman’s Club awards, and Marcus & Millichap’s esteemed Chairman’s Circle of Excellence award, which is the firm’s highest-level sales award. In 2015 and 2016, Mr. Jandris was the No. 1 ranked seniors housing agent and the No. 1 ranked agent across Marcus & Millichap’s three Chicago offices. In October of 2016, Mr. Jandris was featured in Real Estate Forum as one of the 50 best-in-class commercial real estate executives under the age of 40 in the country. Mr. Jandris was named a “Star to Watch” in the March 2017 issue of Commercial Property Executive, featuring some of the commercial real estate industry’s top young talent.

Jandris received a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree from the University of Iowa.

Brian P. Dolehide

Brian P. Dolehide is a Director of Non-Profit Services for Institutional Property Advisors’ (IPA). Mr. Dolehide is an experienced advisor in all areas of development, leasing and sales for Catholic REO properties such as medical, seniors, educational and parish properties. Over the last 30 years, he has repurposed and developed new construction for diocese and religious owned properties throughout the U.S. Brian has received various awards and has consulted for the Archdioceses in China and Europe providing best case practices and studies.  Mr. Dolehide is the Sacristan for the Archdiocese of Chicago and is involved with many non-profit entities such as the United States Catholic China Bureau, Catholic Charities, Knights of Columbus and Knights of Malta.

Mr. Dolehide received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Loyola University in Chicago.

Charles Hilding

Charles Hilding is a Director of Institutional Property Advisors’ (IPA) Seniors Housing Group.  Since joining the firm in 2011, Mr. Hilding has specialized in seniors housing and long-term care facility investment sales, and has underwritten over $5 Billion in seniors housing assets.

Mr. Hilding and the team have closed $2.75 billion in seniors housing transactions across 31 states, representing private, institutional, and nonprofit seniors housing owners in the disposition of their assets.  In 2016, Mr. Hilding and his team closed on the sale of the largest privately-owned nursing home portfolio nationwide since 2012 (over $500 million), the second largest stand-alone facility transaction in history at $110 million, and closed over $1 billion in overall sales of seniors housing and long-term care assets.  

In 2015 and 2016, Mr. Hilding received the Sales Recognition Award and National Achievement Award from Marcus & Millichap, recognizing his achievements in gross sales for the firm.

Mr. Hilding graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Arts in Finance and an International Business Certificate.

Jordyn Berger

Jordyn Berger is a Director of Institutional Property Advisors’ (IPA) Seniors Housing group. Mrs. Berger’s primary focus will be on structuring and arranging debt, mezzanine and equity capital for owners, operators and developers of Independent Living, Assisted Living, Alzheimer’s Care and Skilled Nursing facilities. Mrs. Berger has extensive experience working as an advisor to buyers, sellers, investors and borrowers in various transactions providing an expansive network of capital sources. She represents all types of financings including balance sheet lenders, insurance companies, private funds, agency debt and equity.

Over the past 12 years, Mrs. Berger has originated approximately $3+ billion in commercial real estate debt and equity nationwide. In addition to permanent debt placement and construction financing, Mrs. Berger has helped structure joint ventures between seasoned operators and institutional partners and has also sourced equity for development and acquisitions on a project specific basis.

Prior to joining the firm in 2018, Mrs. Berger was on the acquisitions side of seniors housing for the previous five years, as Director of Acquisitions for Enlivant, a private equity backed assisted living owner-operator, and Ventas Inc., a leading publicly traded real estate investment trust with a portfolio of 1,300 seniors housing and healthcare properties across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. Mrs. Berger’s acquisition career focused on sourcing value-add and stabilized healthcare assets where she procured over $1 billion in new acquisitions totaling over 75 assets and completing the first international transaction in the United Kingdom.

Mrs. Berger’s prior experience in finance as a commercial real estate lender with JP Morgan Chase and as a mortgage broker in the commercial real estate industry, make her a natural fit for this new business development role.

Mrs. Berger received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from The University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. She is an active member of the American Seniors Housing Association Rising Leaders.

Michael Surak

Michael Surak is a Senior Associate of Institutional Property Advisors’ (IPA) Seniors Housing Group and Marcus & Millichap’s National Seniors Housing Group. Mr. Surak specializes in the disposition of age-restricted apartments, independent living facilities, and active adult communities on behalf of private investors, institutional advisors, REITS, and developers. Prior to joining IPA’s Seniors Housing Group in 2017, Mr. Surak was directly involved in the sale of over $475 million in multifamily assets while working with Marcus & Millichap’s National Multi Housing Group (NMHG) and at another large, national multihousing investment advisory firm.

Mr. Surak received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from The University of Dayton and is a licensed real estate broker in Illinois and Colorado.

Andrew Hilding

Andrew Hilding is a Senior Associate of Institutional Property Advisors’ (IPA) Seniors Housing Group. Mr. Hilding joined the firm in 2010 as an intern under Joshua Jandris and Mark Myers, before starting full-time in 2012 as their marketing coordinator In 2015, Mr. Hilding became an Associate and began specializing in seniors housing and long-term care facility investment sales. His duties include representing private investors, institutional clients, and seniors housing operators in the disposition of seniors housing facilities and portfolios. In his career, Mr. Hilding has closed over $155 million worth of transactions, primarily focusing in the Mid-Atlantic and East Coast states.

Ryan Fleming

Ryan Fleming is an Associate of Institutional Property Advisors’ (IPA) Seniors Housing Group. Since joining the firm in 2014, Mr. Fleming has specialized in seniors housing and long-term care facility investment sales, and representing private investors, institutional clients, and seniors housing operators in the disposition of seniors housing facilities and portfolios. In his career, Mr. Fleming has closed over $160 million worth of transactions, primarily focusing in Iowa, Nebraska, and Texas. In 2016, Mr. Fleming received a sales Recognition Award from Marcus & Millichap, recognizing his achievements in gross sales for the firm.

Mr. Fleming received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Iowa.

Matt Andriano

Matthew Andriano is an Associate of Institutional Property Advisors’ (IPA) Seniors Housing Group.  He joined the firm in 2015 and specializes in seniors housing and long-term care facility investment sales, and representing private investors, institutional clients, and seniors housing operators in the disposition of seniors housing facilities and portfolios.  Mr. Andriano was on the operations side of seniors housing for the previous seven years, as Vice President of Business Development for an Illinois operator, focusing on acquisitions and growing the company’s ancillary business lines. He also assisted on the development team that built and stabilized a $30 million CCRC which included a 140-bed skilled nursing facility and a 60-unit assisted living facility. Mr. Andriano’s prior experience in finance and accounting as a commercial lender with LaSalle Bank and as an entrepreneur in the service/cleaning industry, make him a natural fit for this new business development role.

Mr. Andriano received a bachelor’s degree in Economics from The University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana.

Tom Falkenberg

Thomas Falkenberg is a Senior Financial Analyst for the Institutional Property Advisors’ Seniors Housing Group. Since joining the team in June 2014, Mr. Falkenberg has led or assisted on the underwriting and valuation of over $2.5 billion in deals across the country. Mr. Falkenberg’s expertise includes asset and portfolio valuation, sensitivity models, and financial projections for both skilled nursing and seniors housing transactions. Prior to joining the firm, he spent two years as an intern at William Blair & Company in the private client advisory department.

Mr. Falkenberg graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Notre Dame in 2014.

Ryan Diak is a Marketing Coordinator for Institutional Property Advisors’ (IPA) Seniors Housing Group. Ms. Diak joined the team in 2016 and is primarily responsible for designing marketing packages and initiating marketing campaigns.
