SAN DIEGO, Jan. 31, 2018 – Institutional Property Advisors (IPA), a division of Marcus & Millichap (NYSE: MMI), today announced that Bill Rose has assumed an advisor role with IPA in San Diego as a senior managing director. Rose will focus on the sale, financing, and joint venture structure of institutional-quality West Coast shopping centers. Most recently, he served as national director of retail for Marcus & Millichap and IPA.
“After several years in management with the company, Bill has made the decision to return to his roots as an effective advisor/broker working closely with institutional and major private investors,” said Alan Pontius, national director of Marcus & Millichap’s specialty divisions. “We look forward to supporting Bill in this capacity and growing our IPA retail team nationally.”
Rose joined Marcus & Millichap in 2003. Previously, he was a managing director at HFF where he was active in debt origination, structured finance and investment sales. Prior to that, he spent 13 years at TrizecHahn as director of development leasing and management. During his career, Rose closed more than $3 billion in real estate transactions.
Rose holds a Bachelor of Science degree in real estate and finance from the University of Colorado, Boulder and Certified Retail Property Executive (CRX) and Certified Shopping Center Manager (CSM) designations. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, the Urban Land Institute and the University of Colorado Real Estate Advisory Board.
